Like everybody else both the formation team and the young people in formation are on holidays. The last day of class for this formation year was on 19 june 2010. We only break from studies and other related programmes but other activities continue till the postulants go the noviciate for their further formation as religious persons and as Marists.

The 5 postulants who will soon be going for the noviciate

On june 23rd, the first year postulants (the postulancy lasts for two years in Madagascar) went to visit their blood families while the other group, the second year postulants remained at the community and have embarked on holiday courses and manual work. The first year postulants will be back to the community on 18th of July and the second years will leave the community to visit in their turn their families on 20th of July. They will never return to the community again. They will be going to the noviciate instead after one month stay at their homes.

The Deacon has been teaching french language to the postulants this year.

The four formators will be in the community all the time to look after the house except some of them who will travel to different places during these holidays but they will not be away for long.
The pre-noviciate community will begin the new year of formation on 20th September 2010. The number of the new postulants for this year is not yet known.
